Women’s Day March in Oslo Blocks Pro-Israel Participants Carrying Hostage Signs

On Friday, pro-Israel women were prevented from participating in an International Women’s Day march in Oslo, Norway, by organizers and pro-Palestinian participants.

Pro-Israel women held placards defending female Israeli hostages currently held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

National news site NRK report (via Google Translate):

Approximately 6,000 people gathered at Jungstorget, including a support group for Israeli hostages.

– They were physically blocked by other participants on the train and eventually told by the event committee that they could not join the train with the password they had…

era of israel elaborated:

A video posted on social media by the group Defending Israel Democracy shows that protesters carrying posters depicting hostages are being held up by other marchers in an attempt to prevent them from joining the main march. The image shows them forming a chain.

The women interviewed by the broadcaster said they had received permission from organizers to participate in advance.

Consistent double standards are being applied to Jewish and Israeli women, with the United Nations women’s agency waiting eight weeks before condemning “gender-based violence” by Hamas terrorists on October 7.
