UW men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley appeared to get into a heated confrontation with a fan after the No. 1-ranked Huskies defeated Providence 74-60 on the road.

Hurley left the floor after the game, but was seen on video yelling back at fans.

Hurley was seen saying, “Look at this guy, come here, come quick, you’re going to get hurt.” Hurley stopped talking to the crowd when officials around him told his coach something.

Hurley described the incident in an interview with reporters.

“You shouldn’t yell at me after 20,” he said, via the Hartford Courant. “You should wait until the game is over and leave. If he hadn’t been barking at me, I wouldn’t have said anything to him. … You shouldn’t be mouthing off at that point in the game. Here. Get out of here, please go.”

Hurley got into another controversy with Creighton fans last month. He was seen on video getting angry at Blue Jays supporters who stormed the courtroom and threatening to “knock out” his fans.

The defending national champions have goals, and every school has goals to chase them down. However, they rose to the challenge and finished the regular season with an overall record of 29-3.

The Huskies are 18-2 against Big East opponents. Tristen Newton and Cam Spencer were named first-team all-conference this past year.
