Garth Brooks previously said Bud Light would be served at his honky-tonk, Friends in Low Place, but now critics are criticizing his choice to sell the beer brand. He expands on his decision as to why he behaved towards the families.
At the bar’s grand opening in Nashville, Tennessee, Brooks told FOX News Digital that the decision to serve Bud Light caused some backlash, but it all stems from one question.
“How do you want to be treated?” the country music star asked.

Dispute with beer company over company’s decision to collaborate with transgender activist and actress dylan mulvaney. The partnership was promoted on social media, with Mulvaney sharing an “Easy Carry Contest” on his TikTok, leading to calls from celebrities and politicians for a beer ban.

Brooks said he is committed to making Broadway Bar an environment that is inclusive and promotes a good time.

“So when you walk in here, hopefully you’ll be surrounded by people who want to have fun,” he said. “No one wants to be an a–. That way everyone has a good night.”
“There are two kinds of people in the world,” Garth explained.

“Good people and people who might have a hard time staying that way today,” he explained. “I completely believe in people, so if you want to try something another day and it’s not as good, come back.
“Let’s fall in love, it’s a nice place.”
Brooks’ bar, Friends in Low Place, held its grand opening Thursday. Next door to the bar is the new Nashville Police Department, which Brooks helped open.

“What I like about seeing the big police signs out there is that people have a beacon if there’s any trouble here,” he explained. “lower [Broadway] The number of people here and the number of incidents happening here is amazing. ”
He continued, “So I’m really, really proud of this community, but the fact that we now have a beacon in the middle of where the Preds are. [Nashville Predators] play and [Tennessee] The Titans are always available to play and we hope that not only will we stop bad things from happening, but that people can relax here and know that they have a place to go when they need to. ”
Brooks was candid about his choice to serve all brands of beer before opening his Nashville bar.

In June, Garth spoke on Entertainment Tonight about how important it is for his bar to be inclusive.
“If you know Garth Brooks, no matter how long you’ve known him, [he’s] It has always been inclusive. We’re going to need each other, believe me,” Brooks told the magazine at the time.
“So I think you’ll find that diversity, inclusion, our differences, is our greatest strength.”

Last summer, Brooks revealed what fans can expect from his bar.
“I know this sounds corny,” Brooks said in an interview with Billboard. “I want this to be the Chick-fil-A of honky-tonks…I want it to be a safe place, a place where there’s good manners and where people feel like they like each other.”

“And yes, we’re going to offer every brand of beer. That’s just what we do. It’s not a decision we make. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Brooks said the foundation of his friendship with his wife helped him overcome any challenges.

“So, remember, we met in 1987,” he said. “And for 13 years, we were just best friends, friends. We used to tour together and stuff. So, because we were friends, we talked ourselves into each other way too much.” But I never thought we would end up together.”

“So, we know everything about each other, so when we go into these things; [opening a honky-tonk]you Fight like cats and dogs. And I see that one of you is going to learn a lesson. ”
Brooks said he spent the lockdown period with his wife of nearly 20 years during the coronavirus pandemic.
