Gwyneth Paltrow freaks out over Robert Downey Jr. Oscars 2024 win

It was the highlight of her night!

Gwyneth Paltrow posts a video of herself reacting to her Iron Man co-star Robert Downey Jr. winning Best Supporting Actor in 2024, amid attempts to bleach her roots. It became a hot topic.

In an Instagram Story on Sunday, the “Seven” actress held her phone up to her laptop as Ke Huy Quan, who won the award for last year’s hit song “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” made the announcement.

After winning, Paltrow, 51, let out a chilling shriek as Downey Jr., 58, hugged his wife Susan and went on stage to accept his award at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Paltrow then turned the camera to briefly show herself wearing some tinfoil in her hair, a black cover-up, and her infamous glasses.

“@robertdowneyjr I accept,” the Goop creator captioned the video.

Paltrow won her own Oscar in 1999 for “Shakespeare in Love.” In October 2023, she revealed that she was using the statue as a doorstop.

She and Downey Jr. have been friends for years, co-starring in multiple Marvel movies as Pepper Potts and Iron Man, respectively.

The “Oppenheimer” star’s win Sunday marked his first-ever Oscar win and third nomination overall.

“I want to thank my terrible childhood and the academy, in that order,” Downey Jr. joked in his acceptance speech.

“I’d like to thank the veterinarians, namely my wife Susan Downey over there,” he added, referring to his wife of 22 years. “She found me as a growling protective pet, and you bring me back to life and love me. That’s why I’m here.”

“I needed this job more than this job needed me,” Downey Jr. continued. “Chris [Nolan] I knew that.emma [Thomas] She made sure I was surrounded by one of the best cast and crew ever, Emily [Blunt]Killian [Murphy], Matt Damon. It was amazing and I stand here before you a better person because of it. ”

Downey Jr. starred in the drama starring Cillian Murphy as Louis Strauss, a businessman who played a key role in the development of the atomic bomb.

The film won eight out of 13 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score.

Downey Jr. has previously won a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for his role in “Oppenheimer.”
