Best Dressed Award: Carey Mulligan (Balenciaga)

Worst Dressed: Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton
It makes no sense to me that Emma Stone has won as many Oscars as Bette Davis, and this dress is no different. From the shoulders up, it’s a knockout.

Worst Dressed: Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton and Ariana Grande in Custom Giambattista Valli Haute Couture
Perhaps the pair were using the Oscars as press for the upcoming Wicked movie, in which Erivo plays Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Grande takes on the role of Galinda, who later becomes the good Glinda. Dew.

Worst Dressed: Margot Robbie in Versace
Margot Robbie had some of her best red carpet fashion moments last year during a whirlwind press tour for Barbie, recreating the look of the iconic doll. It’s no surprise that Oscar watchers expected her to close out Barbie’s year with a pink glamorous piece (despite the Academy downplaying her!).
Instead, Robbie opted for this raunchy black sequined number from Versace’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection, right off the runway. With an uncomfortably taut bodice and awkwardly placed drapes, this was a mistake no one expected.
