Marayna Rodgers seen moments before alleged murder by Chance Comanche, girlfriend

Chilling new video has captured the final moments of a smiling Washington medical assistant’s life before he was murdered by a former professional basketball player and his prostitute girlfriend.

Maralina Rogers, 23, was seen on surveillance footage happily following one of the murder suspects as he entered and exited a Las Vegan liquor store on December 6th. Available in 8 New Now shows.

Police said Rodgers, who worked as a prostitute, was wearing a denim jacket and white pants with the intention of prostitution on a double date set up by 19-year-old Sakari Harnden.

Instead, Harnden’s boyfriend, Chance Comanche, who was waiting in the car, allegedly wrapped a cord around Rogers’ neck and strangled her, killing her.

The 27-year-old, who plays for the Stockton Kings in the NBA G League, which is affiliated with the Sacramento Kings, and Harnden were seen hours later on another security camera at a local grocery store.

Mr. Harnden was wearing the same clothes as when he and Mr. Rogers visited the liquor store.

Police said the suspects dumped Rogers’ body in a roadside ditch in Henderson, Nevada, then returned and covered it with rocks.

Comanche and Harnden are charged with murder with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree kidnapping with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy to kidnap.

Comanche and Harnden first tried to hire a hitman for $3,000 before taking matters into their own hands, according to police records.

After purchasing alcohol, the three drove to a cul-de-sac near the former home of Mr. Comanche’s friend, who they had originally planned to kill, and tied up Mr. Rogers.

After dumping the body, the couple allegedly destroyed Rodgers’ cell phone and returned to the team’s hotel, where they stayed until the Comanche departed with the team around 8:50 a.m. to play a game later that day. .

Detectives found Rogers’ body in a ditch on Dec. 15 after Comanche pointed to a location on a map during questioning.

Harnden was arrested Dec. 13 and charged with first-degree kidnapping and felony theft after allegedly stealing a Rolex valued at between $5,000 and $25,000, according to court records.

FBI agents and Sacramento County police arrested Comanche on December 15 on suspicion of first-degree kidnapping.

Prosecutors plan to take the case to the Death Penalty Review Committee.
