Severe weather that spawned a series of tornadoes struck Ohio Thursday night, causing severe damage in parts of the state.
Multiple tornadoes reportedly struck the Miami Valley. WKEF. said Amber Fagan, president and CEO of the Indian Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and Convention Bureau. WSYX Columbus said he has never seen destruction on this scale anywhere in the state.
“It’s utter devastation. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life,” Fagan said. “I’ve been checking on all the local businesses and members of the chamber of commerce and everyone I know is safe, but I’ve heard that some are not.”
Mary Routan Hospital in Bellefontaine is reportedly preparing for the possibility of mass casualties and has four or five ambulances stationed outside its emergency room. Schools along Indian Lake will also be closed Friday.
“We are asking for prayers for our community at this time,” the district said on Facebook. como news. “School will be canceled for Friday, March 15th. Indian Lake School will open as a shelter as soon as possible. We are without power, but we have a backup generator.”

Lakeview, Ohio was hit by a very large tornado that hit Lakeside RV Park.
The park has been destroyed and people are trapped under the debris.
