Democrat Chicago Only City with Lower Population Than in 2000

Of the 25 major cities, only Democratic-controlled Chicago has seen a net population decline compared to 2000.

Since 2000, Chicago has lost a net population of 231,000 people, even as the U.S. population has grown from 281.4 million to 281.4 million. 341 million.

Chicago’s population grew by 60 million people and nearly a quarter of a million souls were lost.

How is that possible?

In the pandemic years of 2021 and 2022, the once-great Windy City lost The net totals are 79,000 and 77,000 people, respectively. From July 2022 to July 2023, that number slowed to his 16,000 net loss. This is considered “normal” for a city that has been in decline for the past quarter century.

In 2023, the only cities that lost more net population than Chicago were Democratic-run Los Angeles (down 71,000 people) and Democratic-run New York City (down 65,000 people).

Meanwhile, in healthy Texas, Houston and Dallas each saw a net gain of 100,000 people.

Wirepoint reports that “in total, more than 172,000 people died in the Chicago area during the pandemic, making it the fourth-worst loss in the nation after New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco.”

Since 2020, Democratic-controlled New York has lost 492,298 people. Los Angeles had a decrease of 379,447 people. There are 173,877 people missing in San Francisco. This isn’t just crazy pandemic lockdowns driving people away. It is a public school that has abandoned academic fundamentals while embracing pretense disguised as George Floyd riots, crime, taxes, and transgender nonsense.

For people my age, the idea that these cities, especially Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, are losing population seems impossible. For those of us who grew up in the 70s and 80s, there was an aura around these cities, even during the post-60s crime spike. Chicago was my kind of town. San Francisco was a city on the bay. Los Angeles was a dream city. And New York…where do I start? New York City was everything…These cities were where your dreams came true, where your future was born…Everything important, exciting and new came from these cities. And very few people from these cities traveled to where I grew up, but so many people from where I grew up traveled to these cities.

myself? I traveled to all four of her and in one he lived for 9 years.
