Before Marquise Brown started learning and analyzing the Chiefs’ playbook, he did the same thing with Taylor Swift songs.
During a livestream after signing a one-year deal with Kansas City, Brown performed a physical rendition of “Blank Space,” one of the songs Swift (the girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce) has written throughout his career. I started shaking it.

Brown, whose contract with the Chiefs is reportedly worth up to $11 million, will join Kelce and Laci Rice as top options for Patrick Mahomes’ offensive line as he looks to win his third straight Super Bowl next year.
The former first-round pick spent the first three years of his career with the Ravens before joining the Cardinals, recording 1,283 receiving yards and seven touchdowns over the past two seasons.
Brown’s best season came in 2021, when he rushed for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns alongside quarterback Lamar Jackson.
But after free agency, the 26-year-old will pair up with Mahomes’ other top quarterback and become a key piece in Andy Reid’s offense, but he won’t be available until 2023 when everything is sorted out in the playoffs. In 2017, there were occasional fluctuations and stagnation.
Brown posted a screenshot of his text exchange with Reid before signing the contract, in which the 65-year-old coach wrote, “Hollywood, consider it red today. KC Red has diamonds!! !” he wrote.
“Yeah, I love the sound of that,” Brown replied, peppering the message with heart, ring and locket emojis. “Think of the brown lights, cameras, and action of Hollywood.”
And if Swift remains a fixture at Chiefs games in 2024, Brown will likely recognize it from at least one of her songs.
Kelce and Swift started dating last summer and emerged as one of the NFL’s prominent storylines in 2023, with Swift playing in 13 games, including all four postseason wins, and immediately following the game in 2024. Preparations have also been made for the 2020 Super Bowl to be held in Las Vegas. Eras tour performs in Tokyo.
But defensive backs coach Dave Merritt suggested that Swift was in the game even before he was first shown on the air at Soldier Field for the Chiefs-Bears game.
Since the season ended with the Chiefs defeating the 49ers, Kelce has traveled to Australia and Singapore to watch Swift perform.
