Florida Gators center Micah Handlotten was involved in a scary moment during Sunday’s SEC Conference Tournament finals against the Auburn Tigers.

Immediately after the start of the match, Handrogten went for a rebound, but awkwardly tripped and fell. He was taken off the floor on a stretcher, and a team spokesperson later announced that he had fractured his leg and was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Handrogten had two rebounds in two minutes of play. The sound of his bones breaking could be heard on television, and blood could be seen on the back of his calf, according to the Associated Press.

The 7-foot-1 sophomore transferred from Marshall to Florida after the 2022-23 season. He averaged 5.5 points and 7.1 rebounds this season as the Gators looked to advance to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

He didn’t contribute much in terms of scoring, but he was a talented rebounder. He totaled 14 rebounds in three SEC Tournament games before facing Auburn in the finals.
