It’s been 17 years since the team won back-to-back NCAA men’s basketball championships.
But the UConn Huskies appear ready to end that drought.
The 68 teams for the 2024 NCAA Tournament have been revealed, and fans around the world will fill in the slots to choose which team will follow the Huskies as national champions.

UW is once again the betting favorite to cut the net, and the Huskies will begin their journey as the No. 1 seed in the East with two games in Brooklyn before the regional tournament in Boston.
Playing a bus ride away from Storrs, Conn., seems like a gift for the Huskies, but it’s worth noting that the past six champions haven’t made it past the first weekend.
The other No. 1 seeds are Houston, Purdue, and North Carolina, with UConn serving as the overall top seed in the bracket.
Purdue hopes to follow the same path as Virginia, the only team to lose to a No. 16 seed, and win the national title after an ignominious loss.
The Boilermakers lost to Fairleigh Dickinson last year, but are hoping reigning Naismith College Player of the Year Zach Eady can help end a spate of early departures.
Houston clinched the No. 1 seed for the second year in a row, and the Cougars, who lost to Miami in the Sweet 16, are hoping this year’s tournament will bring them even more luck than last year.
North Carolina missed last year’s March Madness, but made it to the national championship two years ago as the No. 8 seed.
The tournament begins March 19 with two First Four games in Dayton, followed by two more games the following night.
The round of 64 will be played March 21-22, with the second round March 23-24.
Brooklyn’s Barclays Center will be one of eight venues for opening weekend, with UW highlighting the field of eight teams that will play at Nets Arena.
The East Division game will be held in Boston, the South Division game will be held in Dallas, the Midwest Division game will be held in Detroit, and Las Vegas will host the West Division team.
These matches will be held from March 28th to 31st.

The Final Four will be held on April 6th at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, home of the Arizona Cardinals, and the national title game will be played on April 8th.
That night, a new champion will be born.
