2024 is shaping up to be a busy year for Kevin Costner, and he’s ready to make some changes.

On his social media, the “Yellowstone” star has decided to separate his Instagram account from that of his band Modern West.

“It’s still me, but it’s my new Instagram handle.” Costner wrote. “I started posting on social media to share the music of my band, Modern West. This name change will eliminate impersonation and allow the band to focus on our music on a new page. I hope it helps give you more space.”

He teased “personal nonsense” and encouraged people to follow the now separate Modern West account.

“And if you want to know my personal shit, keep following me here. I have a lot of fun things I want to share this year,” he said.

For Costner, 2024 is already a big year for the star. He turned 69 in January and added a new puppy named Bobby to his life on Valentine’s Day, calling it his new “love.”

On a professional level, Costner released the trailer for his new film Horizon in February.

Costner, who starred in the film, directed it, and co-wrote it, called the film “the biggest struggle I’ve ever had.”

“I’m shocked at what we were able to get,” he said during a Zoom panel discussion, according to Variety magazine. “‘Dance’ was shot in 106 days, but the movie you’re watching now took 52 days to shoot.”

“Horizon” is the first in a four-part series, and the youngest son, Hayes, makes his acting debut in this film.

This year also marks the year Costner finalized his divorce from ex-wife Christine Baumgartner after 18 years of marriage and three children.

Baumgartner originally filed for divorce in May 2023, and the estranged couple reached a settlement agreement in September, sources told Fox News Digital at the time. In California, there is a six-month period from when you file for divorce to when your divorce is finalized.

How can that fall apart so quickly?” he told us exclusively in September. For a moment you feel like you’re on top of the world, but then you realize how… vulnerable you are. ”
