If there was a job description for a librarian in a place most of you have never heard of, until recently, it would have described a kind woman who will shut you up if you get too loud. As such, she was easily trusted by all parents in the community, as she happily saw her work as an extension of her faith.
However, it was a small town in Metropolis, Illinois (population 6,500). after that. This is a story that proves that no village can escape the metastasis of cancer unleashed by the scourge that is the spirit of the age.
There’s nowhere to run. There’s nowhere to hide. Nor is it small town America.
God was once omnipresent in our culture. Rosemary Baxter realized this the hard way after she was fired from her job at a public library at the end of February.
Again, what’s happening in San Francisco, where we have our own poop map so we don’t step on vagrant feces, or Chicago, which is single-handedly doing its part to keep America’s murder rate up. I’m not talking about. This happened in a small Midwestern town across the river from Paducah, Kentucky.
After Ms Baxter was hired there as library director three years ago, she started an after-school reading and tutoring program to help children regain the academic skills they lost during the coronavirus lockdown. Opportunities for prayer were also available if parents consented to their children’s participation and signed a waiver.
The number of people willing to do so increased from 22 in the first year to 28 in the second and 33 in the third. The program was a success.
Then, about nine months ago, after establishing that healthy track record, things started to change.
Two members of the library board began to question Baxter’s book choices for the library as a whole. This pattern, the now nationally recognized direction of trans addiction of forcing content onto children not so long ago, continued month after month. You have been arrested. And that’s if the proper authorities catch the devil before a bunch of frustrated fathers in the community take action.
Not surprisingly, one of the board members who initiated this behavior is a California immigrant who lives with another man.
Pastor Brian Anderson of Eastland Life Church in Metropolis and others became aware of the situation and complained in January to a library board meeting attended by about 60 people from multiple faith communities.
“We don’t want to see drag queen story hours being shown to kids here,” Anderson said. We felt confident that our concerns were heard. we made a big mistake. ”
The chair of the library board further amplified his desire for corruption by going to the local Massac County Democratic Party for help in protecting the library, claiming that he was under attack from the local Christian ministry. This is an even more powerful reminder that evil is always guilty of actively condemning the actions of its adversaries. Just when you were trying to shove porn down your children’s throats, it was also accusing you of being too confrontational.
The Masac Democratic Party has invited members of the media to attend the next library board meeting. Perverted picketers from out of town also tagged the newly launched Facebook page, attended church services of those who had filed complaints, and “flirted” in front of all those who had raised concerns with the library board. ” he threatened.
Oh, what on earth was Pastor Anderson worried about?
“I’m being told I’m dangerous, but I’m literally being stalked,” he said.
Meanwhile, back at the library, several staff members have resigned in solidarity with Baxter, 56. Baxter said she’s still trying to figure out how the conservative community she grew up in could somehow be bullied into submission by an unelected board of directors. There is. Social misfits who abused the system in order to maintain their roles beyond the limits set by law.
“The mayor is looking into all of this,” Baxter said. “The library board said I wasn’t following the Library Bill of Rights, which opened the door last April to all the talk about protecting ‘banned books’ and drag queen story hours. One member of the library committee said she wanted her children to be exposed to all of that. What do you say to that?
First of all, you call it evil.
There’s nowhere to run. There’s nowhere to hide. Nor is it small town America.
We will no longer be allowed to watch Fox News all day and passively vote Republican straight tickets to “save America again.” If this story proves anything, it’s that evil is now systematically rampant, most of our nation’s capitols and state capitols have already been obliterated, and our enemies are so cocky that Illinois has the time and energy to spend corrupting the humble metropolis of.
He’s coming. He is coming for you. your country. your county. your clan.
are you ready? You’ll find out soon. Until then, enjoy designer coffee and moist danishes this weekend in a giant suburban complex disguised as a church. Or go back to sleep next Sunday.
