Former National Security Adviser John Bolton tweeted on Tuesday that former President Donald Trump wants the same treatment as North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and that people should “get ready.”

Bolton, who served as national security adviser in the Trump administration, posted a video of Trump speaking with Fox News’ Steve Doocy in 2018, in which the former president praised the North Korean leader. .
“He is the head of a country, which means a strong head. Don’t let anyone think otherwise. He speaks and the people sit at attention,” Trump is heard saying in the video. I heard it inside. “I want my people to do the same.”
Shortly after securing the Republican presidential nomination, Bolton joins a growing list of former Trump officials warning of his return to power, and will face President Biden in the polls this fall.
The video of Trump praising Kim was released after the former president met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán at his Mar-a-Lago mansion. President Trump faced harsh criticism during his meeting with the Hungarian leader, who said he looked forward to Trump’s return to the White House.
After the meeting, President Trump said Orbán is a “great leader” who is “respected around the world.” The former president has also commented favorably on Adolf Hitler many times.
Trump has said in the past that if re-elected, he would not become a dictator “except on day one.”
