Barcelona coach Jonathan Giraldes said:: “It’s a complicated game. It’s a quarter-final, we’re playing on an artificial pitch, it’s going to be cold there, they’re playing at home, the fans want it too, they’re motivated. Because it’s full.

“Blanc performed well in the group stage. We conceded very few goals, won all our games except against Lyon and also managed to draw. We have to adapt quickly and start the game well. If we can control the start, we’ll have more options to play the way we want.”

Blanc coach Martin Ho said:: “It’s an opportunity for the players to play against the best players in the world, in my opinion arguably the best team in world football, and for the last 34 years we have played under coach Jonathan.” [Giráldez].

“I told the players that if they performed well in the two games against this team, I would give them the opportunity to put themselves in the shop window for future transfers. In my head I thought that would be a difficult question. If these games don’t motivate you to play, you’re probably in the wrong sport.”
