A former NBC director has sparked a backlash after suggesting that 18 is a “fair age” for former President Donald Trump’s youngest son.
Mike Sinton, a former senior executive at NBCUniversal known for his pro-liberal social media posts, celebrated Barron Trump’s birthday with a bizarre post about X on Wednesday.
“Barron Trump turns 18 today. He’s already big,” Sinton wrote while sharing a photo of him with his father.

Sinton was criticized for targeting Barron, who had largely stayed out of the spotlight during and after Trump’s presidency.
Mr. Sinton deleted the post and retracted his comments, but stopped short of apologizing.
“I just posted that he is ‘fair game,’ meaning that as an adult he is ‘fair game’ for criticism from the press,” Sinton said in a statement to Newsweek. He spoke at “Someone pointing out ‘fair game’ to me could mean fair game being harmed. I don’t wish physical harm on anyone, so I’m writing this article. Withdrawn. I listen to the comments and criticisms received.”
Neither Sinton nor the Trump campaign immediately responded to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.
