The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and Labor announced Tuesday that it has begun investigating the University of California, Berkeley, for possible anti-Semitism and added the school to its list of universities under investigation.
The announcement comes in the wake of recent mob attacks on campus, including assaults on Jewish students and a recent mob attack in which enraged students slammed a glass door to stop an event by a pro-Israel speaker after he had allegedly made anti-Semitic slurs. It was carried out after a series of anti-Semitic incidents.

Jewish organizations have also accused Berkeley and its law school of anti-Semitism, including allowing the student body to exclude pro-Israel speakers, effectively banning Jews.
