You’ve seen us on screen, but have you ever thought about what we look like off camera?
Over the past few months, I’ve been having fun checking in with your favorite Fox personalities to find out who they are behind the scenes.
What Jesse Watters can’t live without? What is Bill Hemmer’s favorite Halloween costume? And what’s on Greg Gutfeld’s nightstand? ?
But that’s not all! The fun is just beginning.
This week, we’re excited to spotlight the following lydia fu. She joined FOX Business Network (FBN) as a correspondent in 2021. She is based at the network’s headquarters in New York and covers agriculture, energy, real estate and travel. She also has a law degree.

This week, Dana Perino speaks with Fox Business Network’s Lydia Hu. She shares her passionate parenting advice for other new moms and dads, learned from her own parents. has become clean. I’m worried about missing out on her fun. ” (Fox News)
Q: You worked as a lawyer in Baltimore, Maryland for five years before switching to journalism. What skills did you learn as a lawyer that you use every day in your current role?
left: For me, I can’t think of a better way to start my professional life than becoming a lawyer. Among the many lessons I take to heart today, I learned the importance of considering other perspectives. You don’t have to agree, but listening is very important.
Q: Besides your cell phone, what else do you always keep in your wallet?
left: My paper and pen notebook calendar. Old school, but it works!
Q: You are an amazing mom of two beautiful children. If you could give one piece of advice to new parents, what would it be?
When I first became a mother, I wanted my daughter to experience everything from the beginning. Baby massage class? Please register! Swimming lessons for toddlers? absolutely! Church prayer circle? Don’t miss it!
I thought I was expanding my baby’s horizons. What I didn’t realize was that I was building a new community of support.
I met fun, interesting, and smart people who were also on the parenting journey. These are the people I can rely on when I’m in trouble.
“I thought I was expanding my baby’s horizons, but I didn’t realize I was building a new community of support.”
I asked my pediatrician for recommendations and advice on how to manage sleep regression. Sometimes I just needed someone to understand what it’s like to get through a day’s work without being able to sleep the night before because your baby is teething.
My advice is to look for these groups. Build and nurture relationships.
These people will become your new community with whom you will share life’s most precious moments and help you get through the more difficult times.
Q: Do you have any advice for new mothers who are worried about returning to work after maternity leave?
left: Before your first day back at work, set aside some time to test your parenting routine. For example, start childcare a few days early so you can practice your drop-off and pick-up schedule.
This will help you iron out any surprises (for example, the drop-off line is longer than expected) before your expectations of getting to work on time are high.
“In the last moments of your maternity leave, find a quiet place to collect your thoughts.”
And you might be able to treat yourself while someone else has a baby!
In the final moments of your maternity leave, go out for lunch, read a book, or gather your thoughts in a quiet place.
Q: What is the best parenting advice you have received or learned? your own parents?
left: Don’t worry about getting confused. You can always clean up the mess. I’m worried I’ll miss out on the fun.
Q: If you could hop on a plane right now and go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why? What’s next on Lydia Fu’s bucket list?
left: My dream is to stargaze in Montana.
Q: What is your secret to staying physically and mentally healthy? What is your favorite workout?
left: I’m an Orange Theory addict. The older I get, the more I like weight training.
Q: What? books you can read Don’t you get tired of repeating it over and over again?
left: “The Last Ship to Leave Shanghai” by Helen Jia.
Q: What is the best advice you would give your younger self?
left: Worry less and keep working hard.
Dana says it best: “Everything will be fine.”
