Elon Musk’s Neuralink Reveals Video Of Telekinetic Tech In Action

Elon Musk’s brain chip venture Neuralink on Wednesday shared a video of a paralyzed patient moving a computer cursor just by thinking.

9 minutes live stream on X showed Noland Arbaugh using his mind to navigate an online chess game. Arbaugh, 29, was the first person to receive a Neuralink brain implant. He shared his own experience with the implant during a livestream. “I think it became intuitive when I started imagining the cursor moving,” he said. “It’s basically like applying force to the cursor, and you can move it whenever you want. You can just stare anywhere on the screen and the screen will move to where you want it to be, so it’s pretty wild. It was an experience.”

He also shared one of the first things he did after gaining full control of his device. “This is the first time you guys have given me complete control over this, and I actually stayed up until like 6 a.m. playing Civilization VI. It was worth it. ” he continued.

Despite enjoying the device so far, Arbaugh admitted there is still room for improvement with the implant. “It’s not perfect. I would say we ran into some problems,” Arbaugh said. “I don’t want people to think this is the end of the journey. There’s still a lot of work to do, but my life has already changed.” (Related: Elon Musk’s brain chip company is officially recruiting humans for testing)

“With just a thought, you will be able to control your mobile phone, computer, and almost any device through them. Early users will be people who have lost the use of their limbs.
