Texas immigration law SB4 gives the state the power to secure its borders and deport illegal immigrants back to Mexico, something the federal government refuses to do.
The Supreme Court allowed the law to remain in effect while the Biden administration challenged it, but the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals blocked the law.
“Yesterday, the Supreme Court said Texas can start making arrests, and then we woke up this morning and the appellate court said, ‘No, no, no, not so soon,'” said Glenn Beck, Texas Attorney General Ken. – Tell Paxton.
Paxton is completely devastated by the decision.
“I’ve never seen anything like it. I don’t understand it,” Paxton told Glenn, adding, “It’s weird.”
“What we’re doing here is causing a lot of damage. There’s crime, there’s murderers, there’s border infiltration,” Glenn says. “The courts should say, ‘No, no, no, let them be arrested until we find out everything.’ Rather, I suspect that the harm that the courts are recognizing is to illegal aliens.”
Paxton believes it’s not just illegal immigrants that courts fear harm.
“Yes, it’s harmful to illegal aliens and the Biden administration’s partnership with cartels. We’re damaging cartel relationships, and I don’t know how else to put it,” Paxton says.
“If the courts uphold this, if they block us from enforcing the lawful passage law passed by the Legislature that the governor signed, then they say, “We’re going to protect illegal immigration and the potential consequences of cooperation with the Biden administration.” We want to protect every bit of damage there is.’ It’s a cartel,” Paxton added.
