The mother of a British woman who disappeared from her American boyfriend’s yacht in the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2021 wrote an open letter to President Biden on Friday about police “failures” in the luxury tourist destination. I asked them to do something about it. Beaches and laid-back island life.

Sarm Heslop disappeared overnight under suspicious circumstances between March 7th and 8th, 2021. Investigations have been fruitless and her family suspects foul play, but there have been no formal developments in the case for more than three years.

“I do not believe that my daughter disappeared without a trace. I believe that she was murdered,” British mother Brenda Street said in a letter to the president. An incident that should be done is occurring,” he wrote in a letter. “We ask you to reveal the truth and give us the answers we deserve,” she said.

She was last seen alive leaving a bar in St. John’s with her boyfriend, Ryan Bain, a convicted domestic violence offender who was accused of drunkenly beating his ex-wife. Ta. The couple lived together on their 47-foot catamaran, the Siren Song, but police never searched his boat and a judge denied their request for a warrant, police said.

However, many experts say there should have been no problem establishing probable cause for the search as it is the last place Mr Heslop is believed to have been before his disappearance.

Mr Bain and Mr Heslop left the 420 for Center Bar in Cruise Bay at around 10pm on March 7, 2021. Police reviewed surveillance video that showed the couple heading to Bain’s dinghy minutes later, but have not released it. At about 2:30 a.m. the next morning, Bain called Virgin Islands police to report Heslop missing.

They were told to call the U.S. Coast Guard if she fell into the water. He waited 10 hours before doing so and did not allow responding sailors to search his boat’s cabin.

According to the letter, Virgin Islands police “admitted” to the family that they “forgot” to call the Coast Guard themselves.

“This is the first admission that they were unable to perform their duties,” Street wrote. “Their communication after that was terrible and full of failures in my daughter’s case.”

Island police also did not record the 911 calls that might have contained evidence.

He told Fox News Digital earlier this month that Bain eventually left U.S. territorial waters and then refloated to Grenada, where he allegedly had the boat’s freezer replaced.

“We know he then went to Grenada and replaced the freezer on the boat. Why?” the Queen’s Police Medal recipient mused in a telephone interview. “I know he replaced other parts of the vestibule. Why?”

Bain’s lawyer, David Catty, who previously represented Ghislaine Maxwell, previously told Fox News Digital that his client would return to the Virgin Islands if Bain’s presence was “legally necessary.” He said he was deaf.

“Although Ms Bain had nothing to do with Ms Sahm’s disappearance, she remains heartbroken by her disappearance,” he said.

Bain has not been charged with a crime in connection with Heslop’s disappearance. Police have designated him as a person of interest.

“Ms. Sahm is probably deceased and her death is premature and a possible homicide,” Johnston said. “It may have been an accident, but no one will talk to us.”

Mr Heslop’s mother has also called on the president to release surveillance video of Mr Heslop leaving the bar with Bain, which is in the possession of island police but has not been made public. She claims not.
