Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have welcomed their second child.
On Friday, the actress, 51, and Good Charlotte frontman, 45, surprised fans by announcing the birth of their son Cardinal.
“We are delighted and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden,” the couple said in a joint Instagram post. “He’s a great guy and we’re all so happy he’s here! For the safety and privacy of our kids, we won’t post any pictures, but he’s really cute.” [smiling emoji]. Sending lots of love from our family to yours. Best wishes and hello!!”

The couple married in 2015 and welcomed their daughter Raddix in 2019.
Shortly after the birth of her daughter, the retired actress told Rolling Stone magazine that she was entering “the best period of my life.”
“In the last seven months, I have entered the best phase of my life: becoming a mother!” Diaz said. “So it was all about my home and my family. And I’m trying to participate in a thoughtful way in the larger and most important conversations that our society is grappling with right now.”
During an appearance on Molly Sims’ podcast Lipstick on the Rim in December, the Charlie’s Angels star discussed how society should work towards normalizing separate bedrooms for couples. He shared his thoughts on the matter.

“Separate bedrooms should become the norm,” she says. “For me, I literally say: I have my home and you have yours. We have a family home in the middle. I go to my room and sleep. .You can sleep in your room. I’ll be fine.”
she continued. “And we have a bedroom in the middle where we can gather for our relationship.”
“I don’t feel that way right now because my husband is such a wonderful person,” she clarified. “I told you that before we got married.”
Diaz, who stepped away from the spotlight nearly a decade ago, previously explained to InStyle why she decided to step away from Hollywood and focus on her family life.
