“Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard” star Jasmine Ellis Cooper hid her pregnancy last summer when cameras went up on season two of the reality series “Bravo.”
The new mom, who welcomed son Cyrus “Cee” Jr. with husband Cyrus Cooper in February, appeared exclusively on Page Six’s podcast “Virtual Reali-Tea” and spoke with the majority of her family. He revealed that he initially hid the exciting baby news due to a prolonged conflict with his partner. her castmates.
“Okay, so please don’t make me cry, but yes, I was wrong,” Jasmine says. She filmed the second installment of the show without her military officer spouse, as she was deployed to Eastern Europe during filming.
“I knew there was a lot going on between our friendships, so I said, ‘We have to deal with this first, and before we can share this big moment, we need to feel comfortable in this home and do our own thing. I think I thought, ‘I have to show some independence,”’ the 32-year-old star says. “That was the priority.”
Rosé is known to be flowing when the SHMV staff gathers in the luxurious Massachusetts seaside enclave, but Jasmine stuck to mocktails. It alerted his co-star and good friend Bria Fleming that the budding screenwriter was baking in the oven.
“During the shoot, I felt like she was.” [expecting] And I think I said it at the dinner table. “She thought she was pregnant,” says the fashion entrepreneur, whose friendship with Jasmine grew even stronger between shoots.
Although Fleming was close to Jasmine, she was kept in the dark about the pregnancy, which was eventually revealed to the entire group during production.
“And it’s so funny…because [my boyfriend] simon [Marco]’s birthday, so I’m ordering a spicy margarita and she’s ordering the virgin version. So I say, “No, you were drinking with me!” And she was like, ‘No, I’m not,'” Fleming says, recalling her reaction to Jasmine’s announcement.
“And I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, I saw you!’ She’s like, ‘No, I was a virgin.’ She’s like, “When did you have time to order a mocktail?”
Fleming praised Jasmine’s “smooth” cover-up.
During seasons 1 and 2, the two remained close, but Jasmine’s dynamic with her former Playboy Club colleague Jordan Emanuel deteriorated. Emmanuel, also 32, suggests that married life has brought about changes in Jasmine that are no longer conducive to developing a friendship.
“Last year, between seasons, we talked about some things, but I feel like we just couldn’t relate,” DJ said of his falling out with Jasmine.
“And there’s only so much you can say before you’re like, ‘Okay, let’s take a step back and let’s figure it out if we have the space.'”
Emmanuel admits it was “easy” to reunite with Jasmine without Cyrus on this season of SHMV, but he wonders if their broken friendship will ever be repaired.
“It’s made it easier to get to the heart of what we’re trying to get at. But at the same time, it’s difficult because it’s like, ‘Is he just not here?’ So what should I do? ” she says she asked herself. “The question is still about trust, but can I trust this now? Or will it just go back to normal? I don’t know.”
But for now, Emmanuel said she and Jasmine are in a “good space,” even if it’s not permanent.
“I was at her baby shower,” the Bravo star says of Jasmine’s February celebration for her young child. “I think we’re OK. I think enough time has passed that we’ve gotten to a point where we’re like, ‘Okay, where we are now feels authentic to us.’ Was it like that before? No, I don’t know if that will happen. ”

Jasmine, who connected with most of the “SHMV” cast, has attended many of her appearances from get-togethers with Emmanuel and other friend groups in the past year, including a 2023 trip to Jamaica that included Emmanuel, Preston Mitchum, Summer Marie Thomas and Shanice Henderson. felt excluded. .
Mitchum, 38, told Virtual Reali-Tea that he meant no harm by excluding her.
“Some things don’t necessarily need to be excluded. It’s sometimes a question of, ‘What are we doing to exclude ourselves?'” the lawyer said, adding that the quartet did not agree on whether or not they should invite Jasmine. He said they had a “thoughtful conversation.”
Ultimately, they felt she needed a “break” from the group after the turmoil that marked season 1, which was filmed in the summer of 2022.
“When I hear that, I remember a lot of my friends who are parents saying, ‘I’d be really disappointed if I wasn’t invited anywhere, but I wouldn’t go if I was invited,'” he says. he laughs. “It’s the feeling of wanting to be invited.”
