Nvidia debuted the robot as part of Project GR00T. This is a significant upgrade to Nvidia’s AI initiative and a significant deepening into the AI space as a whole. “These productivity improvements range from developing robot code to generating new simulations to test and train robots in an unstructured environment,” Pinto said.

Figure 01 is less than two years old, but it has successfully convinced Amazon founder Jeff Bezo and others to invest heavily in it. According to the Associated Press, NVIDIA is also investing in Figure.
