Grand Canyon’s loss to Alabama might have been best watched without audio.
Unfortunately, TBS microphones captured the screams of one excited Antelopes fan during Sunday night’s 72-61 second-round loss to No. 4 seed Alabama. I heard it.
In one particular clip, the sharer Terrible announcement, After 12th-seeded Grand Canyon cut the lead to one point in the second half, fans could be heard screaming for eight seconds.
Naturally, many had thoughts about that fan.
NFL Red Zone host Scott Hanson tweeted:: “Fun games! But someone check out the Grand Canyon fans who are screaming.”
Action Network X user @Stuckey2 Posted: “This Grand Canyon screaming fan has to go.”
CBS Sports’ Mike McClure commented: “I don’t know what’s more chaotic: the Alabama vs. Grand Canyon gameplay or the screaming of GCU fans who sound like they’re manipulating the camera. #MarchMadness.”
The fan controversy highlighted the problems that can arise during live television.

It appears that the high-pitched fan was seated near one of the TBS microphones, making for an unfortunate combination for viewers.
There’s not much you can do other than turn off the microphone, which is probably not an option since it’s used for obvious reasons.
Although the Antelopes fought valiantly, they were unable to upset the Crimson Tide, so fans don’t have to worry about this fan continuing to have their “moment to shine” for the rest of the tournament.
With 6:03 remaining, Grand Canyon led 58-55 and went into a 4-and-under timeout with a one-point lead, but Alabama went on a 10-0 run in the final 3:48 to seal the victory. Ta.
The Antelopes previously defeated No. 5 seed St. Mary’s.
Alabama will play No. 1 seed North Carolina in the Sweet 16 on Thursday, while No. 2 seed Arizona will take on No. 6 seed Clemson in the other West Division game.
