The Washington State Patrol said two teenagers were found dead less than a half-mile apart on Interstate 5 in what they called a related homicide, Fox 13 reported.
Law enforcement said the victims, both 16-year-old boys, were hidden behind a tall concrete wall and dense forest along a busy Seattle freeway.
The first victim’s body was found in a ditch near North 85th Street and Interstate 5 and was visible to passersby Thursday night, while the second victim’s body was found about 12 hours later on Friday local time. It was discovered around 8 a.m.
Both teenagers died from their gunshot wounds, police said.

The victims were identified as Jahaz S. Phillips and Miion Coleman.
Police say what happened prior to the teens’ murders and when and where they actually took place are still under investigation, and police are wondering how the two incidents are related. Details have not been disclosed.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Washington State Patrol for more information, but police did not immediately respond.

According to local news outlets, the area of Interstate 5 where the victim was seen is blocked by a large wall and trees.

It was initially believed the teens had been hit by a car, but an autopsy confirmed they died from gunshot wounds.
