The first leg saw Brann play really well, they conceded early after Caroline Graham Hanse scored but they levelled though Cecilie Kvamme. The Norwegian team, in the quarters for the first time, defended really well and it took some skill from Salma Paralluelo to get the result for the defending champions.

Barcelona only hold a slim 2-1 lead but it will be a tricky task for Brann to beat the Spanish team at home. They need to at least win the game in 90 minute 1-0 to send it to extra time.

important events
18 minutes: Putelas put in a great cross which was cleared, but Bommatti’s shot deflected wide and resulted in another corner. Good delivery and Paredes heads up, but it’s cleared at first. Barça comes again, meets the head of Paredes, and Mikalsen is an absolute hero again! Another corner, this time well defended.
16 minutes: Ah, Barcelona is nice. They move smoothly into the box, but this time Caldenti’s shot goes just over the bar. I feel like we’ll get the lead in this second leg.
14 minutes: Mikalsen made countless big saves for the keeper in the first leg and she is stepping up again. Graham Hansen made a great run, but Mikaelsen got a hold of it and forced it into the corner. It comes in but the keeper collects it.
12 minutes: Gaupsett successfully evaded two defenders, but ultimately ran out of steam off the ball. They exchange hands in possession, but play is stopped by the referee and Barça are awarded a free kick. Barça kicked it immediately and continued to build up patiently, with Graham Hansen firing a shot, but Mikalsen collected it.
10 minutes: This time Paredes took a shot, but the hosts put pressure on him early on and it went just over the head of Burguts.
9 minutes: Graham Hansen dances her way into the box, but her cross misses her teammate. Ah, my words! Graham Hansen put in a beautiful ball to beat Mikalsen, but the chance disappeared as another Barcelona player also got past him.
8 minutes: Blanc counters, Kvamme pushes the ball in and Gaupsett heads it in, but her shot goes just wide. From the first leg, we know that all Bran needs is one chance and everything will change.
6 minutes: Burguts wins yet another corner, Graham Hansen takes it this time and Kvamme heads it away for, you guessed it, another corner. Graham Hansen had the ball again and they played it short and eventually Bommatti put the ball into the box. It is well defended by Bran.
5 minutes: Putellas pops it and Brann clears it nicely. There was a great atmosphere in Barcelona, with Graham Hansen’s traveling Blanc support booing her every time she got on the ball.
4 minutes: The delivery looked good at first and seemed to be in all the way, but it’s over the bar. Blanc tries to develop from the back, but immediately concedes an additional corner kick.
3 minutes: Walsh finds Graham Hansen with a beautiful ball. She throws it into the box and tries to find Brugtu, but it’s blocked in the corner. Putelas wins a corner kick and chooses the corner of the box, the ball comes to Burguts but her attempt goes wide for the next corner.
2 minutes: Both teams are starting to find their form, I expect it to be a close game tonight, but now that I say that, Barcelona will prove me wrong.
