Wasserman’s wife, Madison Wasserman, said in a separate post that the former Canadian junior hockey player has only been in the sport for a little over a year.
“He’s only been rowing for a year and a half and he came second in an international competition which is pretty impressive,” she wrote in an Instagram caption over the weekend.
