The post does not go into detail about the threats, but Cajun Navy Vice President Brian Trasher told Fox News Digital that two members of the group have received threats.
Trasher said a male volunteer encountered a man in a hotel parking lot and was threatened.
Trasher said a female volunteer was also threatened by another man over the phone and shared the recording with Fox News Digital.
In the tape, the man calls a female volunteer and accuses her and another volunteer of driving onto his property and gathering a crowd. He said he contacted the sheriff’s office about the incident.
“We’re letting the community know about you,” the man said, claiming he was calling to make sure the group wasn’t doing anything illegal. “You guys are out of control. As a community, we’re going to get you out of here.”
The volunteer said the passenger in the car was a local resident and that the car in question was trying to turn around at the time. She said she even called the man in advance to ask him where to park.
Mr Trasher said the incident raised safety concerns for his team and the public search was called off as a result. They will continue to search for Rogers privately, but will not reveal where they are searching.

The agency said first responders traveled a total of about 2,000 miles in the first few days searching for the missing 15-year-old boy.
“At this stage of the investigation, there are few clues as to what happened to Sebastian or where he is,” the FBI said in a March 22 update. “At this time, there is no evidence that there are any criminal elements involved in his disappearance. But there is also no evidence that there are no criminal elements involved. “We are considering all possibilities that indicate criminal elements are involved,” Sebastian said. ”
