LinkedIn to roll out TikTok-style video option

LinkedIn plans to roll out a TikTok-style video option for its platform.

Professional networking platform told Axios The company is reportedly testing video options for users.

“[W]”We’re testing new ways to make it easier for our members to find timely and relevant videos to watch on LinkedIn,” said company spokesperson Susie Owens.

The video option appears next to the home button at the bottom of the app’s navigation bar.

Strategy Director Austin Null shared a screen recording of the app’s new video option and said He said, “I told everyone that LinkedIn is over as the product has caught up with other platforms.”

This video option is very similar to TikTok’s feed and Instagram Reels, which launched in 2020.

Creator Authority co-founder and CEO Brendan Gahan told Axios that while users with more than 1 million followers on LinkedIn are rare, their connections are “narrower, deeper, and more trusted.” “There is a trend,” he said.
