Thieves stole about $1 million worth of jewelry from a New Jersey store on Thursday, the New York Post reported.
A daring robbery occurred in New Jersey, where $1 million worth of jewelry was stolen from Benzio Jewelers. according to to the New York Post. The thefts occurred between 8pm on Wednesday and the following morning, but were reported at 10am on Thursday. The suspects remain at large and authorities continue to search for clues.

The newspaper reported that a police report revealed that the criminals were planning to break into the Venzio jewelry store. They entered the store’s back office by breaking through a wall from an adjacent vacant space. To avoid being discovered, they cut the store’s telephone and alarm wires. He then used a torch to open the safe and steal the jewelry. As of Friday night, Toms River Police Chief Mitchell Little said there were no major updates to the investigation, according to the newspaper. Toms River Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact Detective Michael McDonald at 732-349-0150, extension 1366, or Detective Jennifer Grob at the same number, extension 1319. according to Go to Brooklyn News 12.
