Protesters calling for cease-fire ambush Easter vigil at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC

Protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza interrupted Easter Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Saturday night, chanting “Free, Free Palestine” before being dismissed.

Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered in Times Square early Saturday morning, some heading to the Easter Vigil at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. In the second reading of the service there, the chant “Free, Free Palestine” was heard.

At least some of the demonstrators were members of the New York City Palestinian solidarity group Extinction Rebellion, and carried flags with olive trees and the words “Silence = Death.”

The protesters were quickly removed from the scene shortly after, Fox News Digital reported.
