At Least 32 Shot During Easter Weekend in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s Chicago

At least 32 people were shot, four of them fatally, over the Easter weekend in Chicago, where Mayor Brandon Johnson is a Democrat.

ABC7 report The first shooting of the weekend occurred on Friday, when a 29-year-old man was shot and killed in a drive-by crash in a parking lot in the “800 block of 87th Street.”

At 12:20 p.m. Saturday, a 41-year-old man was fatally shot while sitting inside a residence in the 8200 block of South Elizabeth Street. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police believe the 41-year-old man was shot by an acquaintance, but no other details about the suspected shooter have been released.

Five women shot to death at 1 a.m. on Easter Sunday, Associated Press I got it. It said the shooting occurred when “an unknown assailant fired several shots at them and fled the scene.”

The shooting victims were ages 6, 17 and 20, including two 19-year-olds. The 19-year-old was shot in the head and died at the scene.
