Former NFL cornerback Vontae Davis has died at the age of 35. WSVN7.

Davis’ body was discovered at her grandmother’s home in Southwest Ranches, Florida.
Police said no criminal activity was suspected in his death.
Davis played 10 seasons in the NFL and surprisingly retired mid-game while playing for the Buffalo Bills.
Davis also played for the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts, and was a star at the University of Illinois before transferring to the NFL.

According to , Davis’ childhood friend Bobby Mays wrote about Davis’ death on Facebook. TMZ.
“Life will never be the same without my brother,” Mays wrote. “They do FaceTime calls and things like that, but I wish we could have one more conversation.”
“You defied the odds and you succeeded. You did it your way. It wasn’t supposed to end like this.”
Davis was charged with drunk driving in February 2023 after his Tesla crashed into a truck that reportedly broke down on the side of the highway in a crash in Broward County, Florida.
Davis was found sleeping on the roadside and appeared to be struggling to remain conscious after being placed in a police vehicle by officers at the scene.
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay mourned Davis’ death and shared an emotional testimony about the X.
“Very saddened to hear of the passing of Vontae Davis. A great man, teammate, and player. My prayers go out to Vontae’s family,” Irsay wrote.
Davis played in 121 total games, recording 22 interceptions and 395 tackles. He was also a two-time Pro Bowler with the Colts in 2014 and 2015.
