Jenna Bush Hager Horrifies Hoda Kotb On ‘Today’ By Revealing How Her Family Celebrated April Fools’ Day: “What Is Wrong With You?”

today Host Jenna Bush Hager’s April Fool’s Day turned out to be too eventful.

“You know, I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time. [first] It took a little too long,” she told co-host Hoda Kotb at the beginning of Tuesday’s (April 2) broadcast.

Bush Hager went on to explain that her family received “a lot of April Fool’s pranks from all sides.” Not only did she help her youngest son Hal, 4, prank her father, but her daughter Mila, 10, wrapped the toilet in plastic.

“Exhibit B: I go to use the toilet. Mila wrapped my toilet in cellophane,” she said, sharing a photo of a toilet bowl wrapped in plastic.

“Did you fall for it?” Kotub asked her.

“Well, Henry did,” Bush Hager replied, referring to her husband. “So I had to call her over and say, ‘Now she has to clean up the mess of a 45-year-old man…'”

She backed away and did not finish her sentence, but Mr. Kotob suggested the word “peepee” and finished her sentence gracefully.

But that wasn’t all. “In every sense of the word, it was coming at me,” Bush Hager continued. “Poppy’s toilet? Wrapped up. Poppy – her eyesight isn’t that great! I said, ‘Mira, come in here and clean.’

Kotb commented, “Watch me play tough mom on April Fool’s Day.” “It’s like, ‘Come in here and clean it right now!'”

It was certainly a pretty nasty April Fool’s Day, but Bush Hager wasn’t completely innocent in all of this.

She told Kotb that she had pranked the children by telling them one of the cats was pregnant, making them think they were going to have kittens. “What’s wrong?!” Kotubu demanded with a laugh.

“Okay, we need to delete April Fool’s Day,” she told Bush Hager after wrapping up her day.

Bush Hager responded, “If only I knew how much work was being done.” “We made a monster that wrapped around my parents’ toilet. Anyway, it’s my second time so I’m happy.”

Today with Hoda and Jenna It airs weekdays on October 9th on NBC.
