The staff of “The Pat McAfee Show” was left with a stink after ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky was seen venting during a live broadcast.
Mr. Orlovsky was making a regular appearance on ESPN’s show when he suddenly heard a loud noise while speaking, which Mr. McAfee and his colleagues claimed sounded like a fart.
“Dun! Dan!” McAfee interrupted as the rest of the on-air personalities started laughing in the background. “We just had another Dan Orlovsky-type farting situation happen.”
Confused, Orlovsky initially thought they were reacting to something he had said and tried to get back to the topic before McAfee and others interrupted him.
Analysts tried to understand what had happened, and it took McAfee several attempts to explain it before Orlovsky caught on.
“I didn’t fart,” he protested, finally realizing he was being accused.
“Dan, that’s the second time. This is about Orlovsky,” McAfee shot back.
McAfee was referring to an instance during a fall 2022 broadcast of “Monday Night Football” in which Orlovsky appeared to plagiarize the show.
In a broadcast before the Bills’ 41-7 win over the Titans in September of that year, Orlovsky appeared to sneeze and fart.
Commenters enjoyed the viral moment, posting to X, “I shouldn’t have tried blue cheese…”
This time, Orlovsky confessed his innocence on a social media app, in a lighthearted manner, of course.
“I hate McAfee. It’s because of the windshield wipers.” He protested in a post to X.
The former NFL quarterback stuck by the story, and it’s easy to see how the windshield wipers could be logically explained, and the weather in the background looked like it was raining.
As of now, the jury is still out.
