This flashy monologue is one of the few creative risks “Dead for a Dollar” takes. Usually they are rewarded. The battle scene in the middle of the movie comes to mind, and the less said about it, the better.
Dead for a Dollar takes the comfort of a well-made traditional shooter and adds a touch of unsettling humor. Consider the words of reassurance given to Borland as he prepares for the showdown.
