An earthquake struck in the early hours of Friday, leaving residents in the northeast shaken and authorities working to determine whether there was any damage.

In a social media post just before 10 a.m., the U.S. Geological Survey Earthquake (USGS) Said It was a magnitude 4.8 earthquake.
