When Corbin Albert, a player on the U.S. women’s national team, reposted a young person’s testimony on TikTok about her Christian faith and recovery from homosexuality and transgenderism, she probably thought she was doing something good. I guess that’s what you thought.
And she was.
Not so, and for good reason, according to Megan Rapinoe, whom Allie Beth Stuckey calls “a progressive activist she can’t stand at all.” During the 2023 Women’s World Cup, Rapinoe was so radical and divisive that half the country was rooting for the United States.
After Albert reposted the video, Rapinoe, in her typical personality, immediately released a scathing statement on Instagram:
“For those of you who want to hide behind what you believe in, I have one question for you: You make all kinds of spaces look safer, more inclusive, more whole, better. , are you bringing out the best in someone?” …because if you’re not, all you believe in is hate. And children are literally killing themselves because of this hatred. Wake up TF! As expected, #15. Unfortunately, instead of standing up for his beliefs, Albert quickly took a knee and apologized for sharing the “offensive, insensitive, and hurtful” content, claiming he was “truly disappointed.” . [herself]“And I think, “I’m going to do better.”
Allie is disappointed in Albert’s reaction.
“Even by the objective standards of God’s Word, this was wrong,” she says. “It was a sin to apologize for this. If God’s word says something, it is enough for us to repeat it.”
