Protesters in Istanbul set fire to Israeli and American flags.

On Friday, hundreds of Turks gathered outside a mosque on al-Quds Day to protest the Gaza war and pray for Palestinians.

It also called on the Turkish government to cut off trade with Israel and Azerbaijan and halt oil transactions.

They also expressed support for Hamas and other terrorist organizations around the world.

“We support Hamas, we support Islamic Jihad, we support Hezbollah, we support Ansar Allah in Yemen, we support Hashd al-Shaabi in Iraq,” protester Mehmet Emin Ak said. said. “We support all resistance organizations in Türkiye and the world.”

First observed in 1979 during Iran’s Islamic Revolution, al-Quds Day aims to unite Muslims and Palestinians against the state of Israel. It takes place on the last Friday of Ramadan.
