An employee at a Chipotle restaurant in Michigan is recovering from a gunshot wound sustained by a disgruntled customer over an apparent guacamole issue.
A violent brawl broke out inside a crowded Chipotle restaurant in Southfield, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, around 7 p.m. Friday. Witnesses said a customer was so upset about something that the employee who was responding to the incident went to the back of the restaurant and the customer walked behind the counter and started bagging food. .

Meanwhile, the suspect, identified only as a 32-year-old man from Detroit, appears to have no sense of urgency about the incident. The suspect was later found in a nearby parking lot and arrested. He remains in custody.

Chipotle Chief Executive Officer Laurie Shallow issued the following statement:
Our thoughts and prayers are with the team members injured in the senseless act of violence that occurred inside the Evergreen Road Restaurant in Southfield, Michigan.
We are cooperating with the authorities responsible for this investigation and hope that justice is served for those responsible for this crime.
When asked about a motive for the shooting, police suggested the men were arguing over guacamole.
