Whoopi Goldberg told her co-hosts on ABC’s “The View” on Wednesday that some Republican politicians during a panel discussion about the Arizona Supreme Court’s decision reinstating the 1864 abortion ban. said he wanted to “reinstate slavery.”
Co-host Alyssa Farrar-Griffin said, “I think a lot of elected Republicans are completely out of touch with the sentiment of this country, because Kansas, Ohio, which are very red states. “Because it turns out that the state, Kentucky, is held by Republicans.” I believe this will be a huge electoral victory for Democrats because it will increase access to abortion. ”
Goldberg said, “Look at what they’re rolling back. Remember what I said years ago, in their hearts they want to reinstate slavery.” They’re okay with that because they see things changing. One of the nice things about the Supreme Court is that they can fight to make things better. They usually fight to make things worse. It is not.”
Furthermore, she added: “For me, if you will, I wish you could rewind to when things weren’t even a state yet and we didn’t have a say. So how would that be? How would that roll? What’s next? Because all of this requires contraception and this includes all the things we as women should be prepared to do to make sure we’re doing better than before. Because it is.”
