The Grand County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that a 21-year-old man lost his life trying to jump off a Colorado highway.
An unidentified man died while attempting a dangerous ski jump on Highway 40 in Colorado. according to to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office. Responders received a call regarding a skier who was unconscious and not breathing. Upon arrival, it was clear that the skier had attempted to jump over the width of the highway but was unable to achieve the required speed and distance.
“Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was attempting to perform a dangerous ski stunt in an attempt to cross the width of Highway 40, but unfortunately did not have the necessary speed or distance,” authorities said in a Facebook post.
