Ryan Gosling’s daughters know ‘I’m Just Ken’ choreography

Ryan Gosling has spoken passionately about how his and Eva Mendes’ daughters helped him prepare for his role as Barbie’s “I’m Just Ken” at the 2024 Oscars.

“You said backstage that your daughters came to rehearse. When they came to see you do ‘I’m Just Ken,’ they were like, ‘Oh, yeah, daddy’s fun.’ Do you think so? Is he great? ” Jimmy Fallon asked the actor on “The Tonight Show.” Thursday.

Gosling, 43, said the Oscars were the “first” big show his daughters attended after Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 7, joked that “dad is Kenning again”. he pointed out.

Fallon, 49, laughed and asked if Esmeralda and Amada were with their father during the filming of the 2023 blockbuster, to which Gosling revealed that he was on set several times. Ta.

“Their interest in Barbie and their indifference towards Ken was what started this whole thing. And, you know, this was really a team effort. And they’re in this movie, and they’re in the movie “I even came to the set when we filmed ‘Numbers.'” he said.

The “La La Land” star quipped that her daughters needed some “background” as to why there are “so many fake tan marks around the house.”

“I wanted them to come to the dress rehearsal just to give some context to what was going on,” he said.

Gosling, who famously keeps his family away from the public eye, previously gushed that it would be “beautiful” for Esmeralda and Amada to attend the Oscars ceremony on March 10.

“They came to the rehearsal the day before and I had a front row seat, so it was a lot of fun. They gave me some tips and notes, and they were all great notes,” he told People last month. .

The pair have been together for more than a decade, having met on the set of the 2012 film The Place Beyond the Pines.
