Last week, a New Jersey high school baseball team made headlines for its victory on the diamond.
Delsea High School had a close game against Audubon High School. In the seventh and final inning, Audobon led by one run with two outs and runners on first and second base.

Delsea pitcher George Starr appeared to be attempting a pickoff at second base. It appeared that he threw the ball to one of the infielders, and the ball appeared to fly into center field. However, Starr still had the ball in his hands and tagged out an unsuspecting Audubon baserunner who tried to run to third base.
It was a brilliant hidden ball trick.

“We were all fooled and the game is over,” the broadcaster said.
Delsea coach Joe Smith wrote of “X” that “the kids were completely sold.”
According to 97.3, Starr also hit the go-ahead RBI in the 6th inning. ESPN South Jersey. He contributed to Delsea’s 4-3 victory.
When the play aired on ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” Smith added of X, “I never thought I would wake up to something like this.”

Delsea is 5-1 on the season and is one of the best teams in New Jersey’s Tri-County Conference. Audubon lost 3-2.
