Under President Joe Biden, the number of Chinese nationals crossing the border has increased by more than 37,000 percent in just three years, new data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reveals.
In the past six months, corresponding to the first half of fiscal year 2024, 25,000 A Chinese national crosses the U.S. border and is encountered by Border Patrol agents.
During the same period in 2021, only 65 Chinese nationals were encountered by Border Patrol agents while crossing the U.S. border. By the first half of fiscal 2022, Chinese arrivals had increased to 432 people during the same period.
Biden set a record with 24,125 people crossing the U.S. border and encountering Border Patrol agents in all of fiscal year 2023.
But Biden has already surpassed that record in the first half of this year and could oversee nearly 50,000 Chinese nationals crossing the border by September.

In his opening statement at Tuesday’s budget hearing, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Greene (R-Tenn.) said the records of Chinese nationals crossing the U.S. border under the watchful eye of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. raised a number of issues.
“Beijing has shown that if we give an inch, they take a mile away. Secretary, you gave China all 1,951 miles of our southwest border,” Greene told Mayorkas.
