Portuguese bodybuilder Marco Cesar Aguiar Ruiz, known as “The Monster”, has died in Germany.
He was 46 years old.
Lewis’ wife, Mariza Lewis, confirmed the news in a Facebook post. According to the Daily MailIn it, she paid tribute to her husband and asked for privacy while she grieved.

The bodybuilder had a large following on his social media channels, his Instagram account boasting 25,000 followers, and he worked as an online coach and motivator.
“I’m not interested in publications, much less this kind of publication, but after getting so many messages, yes, Marco is in Cologne, Germany,” Marisa Ruiz wrote on Facebook. I can confirm that he has passed away,” he wrote on Facebook. “He was in his ‘paradise’ doing what he loved,” she wrote of the muscle man. “Thank you in advance for all the support I received. You were tireless.”
She wrote that because he died in another country, it would be several days before his body was released to her.
“We ask for your understanding and respect during this difficult time!” she continued. “Marco may have had his own ideas and actions, but he was a humble man and would never hurt anyone.”
The cause of death was not disclosed, making Lewis the latest bodybuilder to die.
Late last month, influencer and powerlifting champion Rayara Morais was found dead in her apartment.
Lewis has referred to bodybuilding as “his life and passion” on various social media platforms and referred to himself as “the most shredded bodybuilder of all time.”
Flavio Gouveia paid tribute to Luis with an emotional tribute on social media.
“We trained together many times and had great training together. You were always a good-hearted and cheerful person, fighting for your dreams. Always thinking of helping others. “You never gave up on your dreams of training and growing. It was something you loved! My condolences to your wife Marco Luis Monstro,” he wrote.
