He is only 61 years old and will soon be finished. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), arguably his best film since 1997 jackie brown, Tarantino has said that his next film will be his last. His reasoning, according to many reports, is that he wants a perfect filmography and believes that older directors tend to lose their mojo. Although there are exceptions, and he’s right, 61 is not the age John Ford or Don Siegel were at that age.

Another thing I wish Tarantino would change his mind about is that he only made 10 movies. Aside from Christopher Nolan, he is the only talented writer-director capable of making original, intelligent, big-budget films. He also refuses to cater to the politics of the time, especially this anti-art woke nonsense. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ” captured the attention of the audience, resulting in a huge hit at the box office and a timeless masterpiece (my review).
