Like Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and Bill Maher, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is also “waking up” to the insanity that now defines the Democratic Party.
Impressed by Smith’s outspokenness, Dave Rubin plays a recent clip of the sports commentator attacking liberals, especially those working on his own staff.
“I had liberal people working for me,” Smith began. “But I’m going to turn a blind eye to them and beg them to understand where I’m coming from.”
“I want to emphasize that I’m not absolving President Trump of anything. I’m not trying to paint him as a good guy who’s been victimized,” he said. , adding, “This is about the endgame.”
“You want Trump to go? We’ll defeat him!”
“Listen, liberals…could it be perceived that you are using the law to go after Trump because you can’t beat him? Because you know the issues are not in your favor?” he asked, referring to “Iran dropping the bomb.” [on Israel]“The China issue,” “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine,” “Border issues,” and “Street violence.”
“That’s the argument. [Trump] will come true,” Smith predicted before pointing out the absurdity and hypocrisy of the former president’s hush money scandal.
“Then let me be clear: The 45th President of the United States is no longer President of the United States at this particular moment, but today, eight years after he was first elected, the person in the courtroom is a porn star. Because you helped him pay hush money?” Smith asked.
He then reminisced about all the other politicians in similar positions, including Gary Hart, Bill Clinton, and John Edwards, none of whom were as persecuted as Trump.
“Is that what we’re going to do? We’re going to take people to court for lying when they were campaigning for senior public office knowing it could derail their campaign.” ” he asked.
“He’s right in pointing out there. He’s not saying Trump is the greatest man,” Dave says. “Have I been unhappy with Trump this past year? Yeah.”
“But the way they are going after him is not the way to heal America. If we drive Donald Trump into oblivion and Joe Biden becomes president again…what do you think it will be like for the rest of the American people?”
