Last week, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. sat down with Glenn Beck for an extensive interview. The pair covered a wide range of topics, including the World Economic Forum (which Kennedy aptly called the “billionaire boys’ club”), the intricacies of NATO, the corruption of Big Pharma, and the ongoing conflict between Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Gaza. Glenn also pressed Kennedy on his thoughts on ESG and the Second Amendment, as well as the candidate’s previous statements on climate change, one of which was directed at Glenn.
At the 2007 Live Earth Concert, RFK Jr. made the following statement:
“So, I’ll tell you this, the next time you see John Stossel or Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity, these earthlings, these corporate bros lied to you, They lie to the American people and tell you, ‘Global warming doesn’t exist. You email the advertiser and tell them you no longer want to buy their product. This is treason and we need to start treating them as traitors now. ”
“You’re smart enough to know what that means constitutionally,” Glenn said after reading the quote.
“I won’t say that today,” Kennedy answered humbly. “One of the reasons I don’t say that is because we’ve seen our country violate not only the First Amendment, but all three of his clauses of the First Amendment.”
He also cited the government’s decision to close “one million churches for a year.”[rolled] He felt differently today than he does today about the right to freedom of assembly, the closure of 3.3 million businesses without due process or just compensation, and the repeal of the Seventh Amendment. This is cited as a reason for this.
“The First Amendment was not written to protect speech that we all want to hear. Even though he was sharing, it was for speeches that no one wanted to hear, he told Glenn.
“I would never say that today,” he continued, referring to his 2007 statement. “My thinking about it has evolved and I realize how dangerous statements like that are.”
